Bookcloseouts has a "free shipping" offer until the end of the year on orders of $35 or more.

Great...I need this, right?

Yeah, I went to look specifically for one book that's been on my WL for awhile--they had only 1 copy left so I ordered it and then noticed the free shipping...so had to order "a few more" to get up to $35 to get the free shipping. I could go broke saving money! LOL;)

lol, Julie.

My 15 yr old daughter and I both got gift cards to book stores for our birthdays. So tomorrow, her and I are going on a mother/daughter outing to get some new books.

You guys know that The Book Depository has free shipping always, right?  No minimum ever.  They come from the UK, but the three I ordered last week only took a week to arrive at my door.  They generally don't offer much of a discount, but I was able to get a book that wasn't available at B&N or Amazon.

I love Bookcloseouts!  Is a coupon code required?

The coupon code is right on their site, Elizabeth...can't remember now, "freeshipping" or something like that. Click on the promotions link to find it.

Terri, I also use Book Depository--they have a US site now too, but always used to use the co.uk one. Their selection is definitely better than Bookcloseouts, but the prices aren't as cheap.

Heads up, y'all:  I just ordered/preordered 9 books from The Book Depository - U.S. and the prices at the U.S. site is vastly different than the U.K. site!   For example The Girl Who Kicked the Hornets Nest, The Cold Room, The Lovers all are $5.99 at the US and $9.96 UK.  Just thought I'd let you know....

I've always used the British site for books that I couldn't find over here--I haven't even ordered from the US site yet. But really, the amount of books I actually buy now is so miniscule compared to before I joined PBS...
