At the narrative level these lectures offer insight into Mason Galen the man, but on a practical level they provide the reader a solid introduction to, and a broad overview of, the general chemistry that most students encounter as college freshmen. Since these chemistry concepts are framed in the emotional context of a storyline, they appear in a format more familiar and accessible to the reader than the stark, technical format of conventional science based text books.
