The days of the Third Reich are numbered - but on an isolated island outpost in the middle of the English Channel, the German army has vowed to fight to the death. I picked this up for a summer read a few years ago. I wasn't expecting much, to be honest, but it delivered a lot more than I anticipated. Fast-paced plot, cardstock characters (but in a good, pulp-fiction kind of way), and an interesting story. Looking for a book for the beach? This is a good one for sitting in the sun and vegging out to some rays.
