This is a thoughtful novel that explores the relationships among family, friends, and neighbors. It's about how we love, hate, tolerate, and deal with the people in our lives. Garbo Laughs is humorous and poignant at times and often at the same time. I thoroughly enjoyed reading this book and getting to know the fascinating characters.

Wonderful as both a novel about human relationships and a tribute to classic movies.
