ADVICE PLEASE :)

Can anyone tell me if this is a good series.  I am going thru my WL and see #1 has been there for a while and the rest are on my RL.  I don't know why I even put it there.  I don't think I have ever read this author before!

Norma, I can't say I have read them, but I have them all TBR. My buddy who I constantly swap books with and who normally has the same taste as me absolutely loved them. She also loves historicals, so she liked that these combined the paranormal and historical aspects. I love a good love triangle and she said the one in this series was great.

Oh I would order them.  I have them all and just slamed my way through them.  I think I came up for breaths, drinks and maybe food but other than that it was like two weeks of non stop reading.  I love the characters Sebastian is my favorite he is clever, witty and sexy what more could you want.  The love triangle is great and you really don't realize that your reading a historical while your reading it.  The setting just fits so well with the characters and the books its not like your reading a historical romance.  I don't usually like historical books so I thought I would hate them but I loved them.  If you already have them I would pick them up if I were you.  If not Norma just order the first one and if you don't like it then you don't have to order any more.  I found myself laughing hysterically through a lot of it the characters are just so much fun.

I'm pretty sure she said that she isn't writing them anymore eiter so once your don't with the 5th one thats it.  Which when you really get into a book is kinda depressing but I think she ended the series well.  She's writting as Joss Ware now I think.  Some apocolypse stories.

I don't have any of them yet and it seems like it's taking forever to get the first one.  I have been #3 forever and I need the room on my WL.  (I don't  like historicals either)

I have the 1st 3 and they just sit there.  Are they more romance or UF?  Or just paranormal since someone mentioned they are historicals...

Marie, as far as I know they are more romance. My friend that read them doesn't like to read anything if it doesn't involve romance and she loved them.

i have them all in TBR, and they say paranormal romance on the spine.  i've heard good things.

but i'm pretty sure they're all the same main character, which often makes even the ones labelled romance less romancey if that makes any sense at all.

It does Ellen...at least it usually doens't mean HEA, formulated romance.  I can deal w/ romance...just not HEV romance.

I love this series, it was like crack to me. There won't be any more though, sadly. They do all have the same main character and I wouldn't call them romance. There are romances in it, and the series itself is HEA, but it takes all the books to get there.

I read the first one as people had highly recommended it. I thought it was just ok and took the rest of the series of my WL.  The main character was like Buffy if she had lived in Victorian times.  Just didn't resonate for me.
