Had to share.  I posted on Freecycle that I wanted a few clay or ceramic pots, and got an email back from a guy that he had three, and left me a phone number.  So I called and he said he was cleaning out his fathers house and had a lot more, so I could grab a friend (so I would feel safe) and come by.  I called a friend and we went with her husband.  I came home with over 2 dozen containers, some really beautiful decorated ceramic pots with the trays, and lots of clay pots along with four big, heavy, expensive flower books in a huge LL Bean canvas bag!!  One of the pots is huge, about 24 inches high in brown and beige with a beautiful oriental pattern.  All for free!! I was thrilled.

Then to top it off, my seeds arrived!!!

Now waiting for Feb 21st for the ideal planting days to begin.

How nice! I would love to have gotten some pots and books for free. I love to plant in pots as you can change what you plant every year and they are moveable.

We are getting some free windows for our greenhouse. Also got some other materials by trading for vegetables, plants and seeds we grow.

Picture please, Joan.  I am very curious as to how your greenhouse is coming.  Work in progress pics too!

You can also find free stuff on Craigslist.  I've scored pots, wood to build a raised bed, and lots of wood chips, soil, and bamboo plants.
