Gertrude and Alice...Alice and Gertrude figures of a time long past but who resonate in our minds. this book explores some of their childhood but mostly dwell son their years together thru both great wars. it talks of all the famous people who passed thru their 'salons' every weekend. no one was going to change them and they were not going to change,as Gertrude might write! Fun book for those who remember and for those who want to learn about these tow women who defied all of society at such an early time!
