The New York Times Bestselling novel of true herorism and glory in Americas most trying time. The story of Gettysburg and what would happen is General Robert E. Lee would have been victorious.

Since I am into Civil War books and have a small library, I found this book to be a great asset. A good example of how the battle would have gone if Lee had listen to the advice of his generals.

Too bad if Gingrich had his way there would still be slaves. Newt can kiss my ass! Not to mention, this book was ghost-written by his 'co-author', not by Newt.

Engrossing alternate history of the battle of Gettysburg. Good characters and a fascinating 'what-if' exploration of one of the Civil War's defining moments. A very even-handed treatment of the weaknesses and strengths of both sides. I've already ordered the next book in the 3-part series.

If you enjoy alternate history, or if you've studied the battle of Gettysburg and asked, "what if..," then you'll enjoy this book. Well researched, well thought-out, a solid story. I read this one and then had to continue through the next two in the series.
