Gift of Fire follows this same couples story
Destiny found them and rapture, wild and free, opened their hearts...
As she fled to safety in the dark of the Mexican night, Verity Ames could not see the man who had saved her from attack... but he was determined to see her again. Two months later, Jonas Quarrel appeared at her California restaurant. He was a scholar-- looking for work as a dishwasher! Yet the stranger on her doorstep was also a man with a special gift and a hidden mission. What was the subtle, mysterious power he exuded? How, and why, had he found her? All Verity knew was that his lips burned hers, awakening a passion far beyond her fantasies... and that soon, she and Jonas would have to face the secret fury that threatened their love.
Very good romantic story.
Good book, romance and a little mystery, if I remember correctly.
Who can go wrong with Jayne Ann Krentz?
Very Good book. Starts as kind of a mystery/romance and then there is some muder and paranormal aspects added. Little heavy on the Renaissance aspects for me but overall the book was great.
This is a good mystery/romance read. The romance is of the love/hate variety. The mystery revolves around an artist with revenge on her heart. It is a very good read.
Gift of Gold and it's sequel Gift of Fire are wonderful and a good reminder of how great Krentz used to be before she started focusing on action before romance. They are both sexy and compelling and Jonas and Verity share a wonderfully close relationship. Important point - there is a very dark tone to the back story of Verity's new artist friend Caitlin that is violent and makes for some intense reading.
