Is that even possible?  I know my aunt is a member here and I figured she'd appreciate a point or two as a x-mas gift.

Is that possible?

Thanks

There are two options, the first is to buy credits as a gift. The money goes to PBS. Very good for the site. This is under the Kiosk as gift certificates. The other option is to give your credits to a friend. This is also under the Kiosk options. But you cannot transfer credits before you have ordered your first two books. (Safety measure to protect the two free credits from joining.)

You can buy credits from othe members cheaper than from PBS. I don't think PBS makes much from selling credits themselves becuase they have to have either books or money to back up the # of credits that they sell.  It's a legal thing or something.

To buddy credits to your aunt, you just need to find her in the system and use the Give Credits button.  I think she'll only show up on the member list if she took the time to create a profile and nick name.

Buying from PBS costs more. But there is a print out gift card or eCard. Rather than just showing up as an email.

PBS form letter:

Dear Emily,
This is a quick note to tell you that your friend XXX has given you 1 credit(s). These credits have been added to your account and are available for you to use.

Yep, just "gift" her a credit or two! It's easy, we do it all the time between friends!
