This was the first book of the DCI Erika Foster Series. I loved the main protagonist, Erika Foster. She is a complex and strong-willed character who kept the killer on his toes. The book is filled with gritty dialogue and switches to the killer's perspective which causes the tension to heighten throughout the book. It was well written with a captivating plot that kept me guessing until the very end. It's a type of book that immediately grabs your attention and keeps an intense pace with lots of twists and turns but does a nice job in the end tying everything together. I am looking forward to the next book in the series and I highly recommend this series to those who like serial killer thrillers that keep you on the edge of your seat. WARNING: EXPLICIT SEXUAL DESCRIPTIONS - that would be my only complaint!

I had high hopes for this book but I quit after halfway, it was just slow moving and not much happening, author tries to make it suspenseful with the italics of a stalker but it fell flat for me and it didn't take much to know who the killer is, I will try the next one and hope maybe that book 1 was a starter for a good series but I'm not holding my breath.

Just finished book 4 and this series is starting to be a good one!

This was actually a interesting book, the story line about a rich family hiding secrets from each other. DCI Foster has a rough time going back into the police department. She has a great determination for finding the truth and putting herself on the line. I thought the story moved at a great pace, nice and steady, keeping the information moving and the suspense building. Characters were well developed and have potential to continue to grow. I am looking forward to the next DCI Erica Foster book.
