Having read all of her Demon Hunting Soccer Mom series, I was really looking forward to reading this book. While I did enjoy this book, I was a little disappointed. It was not on the same level as the demon books. Instead of letting us get to know the characters, and care about them, the author plunges almost immediately into the action. It was a little disjointed. However, the premise was a very interesting one, and I enjoyed seeing how the clues were interpreted. Overall an ok read.
Julie Kenner hits a home run with The Givenchy Code. I was already a fan of her Demon series and was just waiting for that next installment when I found this series, only three books so far. Heroine and math geek Mel Prescott is unwittingly thrown into a deadly game of Play/Survive/Win from a long forgotten play on the Internet, and it's a real page turner. Can't wait for more!

I had high hopes for this book. Unfortunately, despite its promise it let me down with its sketchy style and disappointingly transparent plot. There was too little time spent in describing the actual clue-solving process (we're to believe these clues are somewhat magically solved in the span of a few minutes? C'mon!). A fun read, but not a satisfying read.
This was a fun book that kept me wanting to read from the first time I picked it up. In some ways it's a bit expected, but even though you pretty well know what the outcome will be; like a good movie it keeps you reading.
The Givenchy Code is a quick, entertaining read for those rainy days or a lengthy plane ride. While the writing is not top-notch, the story is jam-packed with romance, action, and fashion. A girly book for sure, but a fairly good one at that.
Great book. Fun characters and story line. I don't really care for how the books pretty much follow the same plot all the way through, but still enough there to keep your attention. I would recommend it to a friend.
Okay, I admit I got this AFTER reading "The Da Vinci Code." I enjoyed the pace and the fashion angle but ... hmmm ... did the ending have to be so ... I don't know ... out of character with the rest of the novel? Overall, it was a good read.
