Here's the situation: I requested a book off of someone's shelf, but the request was canceled and the credit given back to me because the book wasn't marked mailed in time. She PMed me to let me know the situation and that the book was sent, so I'd like to be able to give her a credit. I can't re-order the book off of her shelf -- is there another way to send a credit to someone?

Sara, add her to your buddy list.  You can then go into your buddy list and click her name and there should be a button that says give credit to, click on button and Voila, you buddied a credit! :)

You can add her as a buddy and then gift her a credit.

Sara - make sure to watch for a second order in the FIFO system and cancel so you don't end up with two of the same book.

I was going to say what Melanie did: if there was more than one copy in the system, it would have automatically ordered you another one. You may have 2 of the same book coming to you now.  Check your Enroute to Me and your Books I've Requested tabs to make sure.  If the 2nd person hasn't printed the label yet, you can cancel the request.

You can also let them receive their credit for the book by looking at your transaction archive. On a book that wasn't marked mailed in time there will be a "was this book received?" on the right side of the screen. If you click on this it will give credit to the person who sent the book.

I would also wait until you receive the book just in case it really wasn't mailed or it goes lost
