I am delighted to announce that The Gladiator's Honour has been named as one of the finalists for the Romantic Novelist Association Romance Prize 2007. The Romantic Novelist Association which was founded in 1960 is the British professional organization for women's fiction writers. Members of the RNA read like a who's who of British women's fiction. Every year they give one prize for catagory novel of the year. The prize includes a cheque and the Betty Neels Rose Bowl. It is a huge honour to make the finals. You can read more about the Romantic Novelist Association and the prize by going to http://www.rna-uk.org
My next North American release will be The Roman's Virgin Mistress in July 2007.

Better than I expected. It was interesting to imagine Roman life under a young Julius Caesar, when gladiators were popular heroes of the day, the rock stars of the period.

I liked the time period and appreciated the effort to create realistic characters from that setting but the story was slow and not very interesting.
