Do we get an email when it's about to expire? Where can I find out my expiration date? I'm planning to renew but I don't want to be caught by surprise.

Go to the Kiosk. Click on Go Shopping. Click on Gold Key. It should tell you the expiration date.
PBS has an email telling of your most recently added WL books being moved over to your RL. Renewing within 2 weeks will undo this, at the same position.

Thanks Emily. They actually move them first and then put them back upon renewal? That would be seriously heart attack inducing to see 90 or so books removed from my WL. Lol
|

PBS was talking about sending a notice before it expires. But I can't see any mention of it in the help.

I received a notice about one month before mine expired. Also, you can renew early and your membership will just extend another year from your expiration date. Last Edited on: 9/15/12 11:50 AM ET - Total times edited: 1 |

What Kathy said. I received a notice from PBS about a month or so before my Gold Key was set to expire. I went in and renewed and it added a year from my expiration date. |

Ah. See, I definitely did not wait to get an email. I like those extra 100 spaces. But they do not mention the notice in the Help. Just the FAQ for after the panic.

I just let mine lapse and they do send an email a month ahead of time but they won't keep reminding you. I think it was only the one until after it expired they sent one saying if I renewed within such and such a time the books would automatically go back to my WL. So if you plan to renew and think you might forget just do it, they won't keep reminding you. |

The week before mine expired, I had a banner across the top of site telling me exactly which day my special benefits would end. that was nice to have that reminder. |
