Wonderful book with a story about 13-year-old Tim and his older brother, Roy, who are heading off to the California Gold Rush in 1898. Contains pictures on every page, as well as an index. Many interesting details are included, such as what the miners wore and what they needed to bring with and what they ate (recipes are included). Excellent series for homeschooling
