This was a fun read. Ms. Jones takes you for sorrow to joy and touches on every emotion in between. I laughed and cried. I have always been interested in the wagon trains heading west and this book takes you all the way form Independance to the Sierras. I would have liked to learn more about Seneca's brothers though.

Betrayed by passion..

Seneca Radburn knew she wasnt dreaming. The dark-haired, broad-shouldered stranger in bed with her was very realand all man. Her face flamed at the thought that she must have shared a night of passion with this handsome man who now angrily accused her of duping him into marrying her for his gold. Her denials went unheeded, and Seneca knew of only one way out of this predicament. She would blackmail him into taking her to California and once they arrived, shed get away from the devastating brute and his precious gold as fast as she could.

Trapped by desire
She was beautiful, all right, with those big, brown eyes that a man could get lost in. But beautiful or not, the minx had tricked him into marrying her so she could get her greedy hands on his map of a secret gold strike. And no woman was going to take what was Miles Savages, no matter how much he wanted to feel her slender legs wrapped around him or to caress every inch of her shapely body. Hed go along with her scheme to get her to California and then hed unload her. In the meantime, there was no law that said he couldnt enjoy his wife in every imaginable way
