Sharon (Catspaw) reviewed The Golden Girl (It Girls, Bk 1) (Silhouette Bombshell, No 58) on
The Golden Girl in this book, Madison Taylor-Pruitt is painfully over priviliged, and an unlikeable main character. I could only put up with the overweening sense of entitlement and pretentious name and brand dropping for about 60 pages before dropping this book, and one of the unread sequels, into the recycle bin. Yes, that's right. It's so bad that I didn't even crack open the sequel by a different author. Powerfully bad!
The whistleblower who died trying to expose a scandal at Pruitt & Pruitt was Madison's best friend--and her father's trophy girlfriend. It'll take more than a spa day for this heiress-turned-spy to recover from a potential murdering dad, a new man who doesn't know she's filthy rich and an FBI agent who has the nerve to lecture her about protocol. But if it means proving Daddy's innocence and saving the family empire, golden girl Madison Taylor-Pruitt will risk anything, even running in heels!
