Another book in the saga of the O'Malleys, an irrepressible and resilient Irish-American family that finds themselves caught up in modern American history.

The death of Chucky O'Malley's elderly father brings the entire brood together to mourn, but what should be a time of unity is disrupted by the increasingly erratic behavior of Chucky's unhappy and emotionally unstable sister. The O'Malleys, as always, face adversity with love and faith, and in the end their family remains strong.
