I really loved this book. It isn't very ong, but the story makes up for it. Four very intelligent children are put in an impossible situation. They begin life moving around quite a bit. When they finally settle down and have a house of their own things are very good for a while. Then things go horribly wrong and they find themselves hiding a huge secret. This book takes them through the years growing older and doing the best they can. This is a very different story you don't run into everyday. Kate Wilhelm is a wonderful author.

Lost sleep because I wanted to finish this book. Very good and not a situation that you have read about before. The children wanted to stay together even tho their parents were dead, including Mother buried in the back yard. Can they keep up the charade even about the youngest boy becomes haunted by their actions. Not what you think!
