My daughter is looking for a copy for an elective reading assignment for next year's AP US History class. There are dozens of versions out there and I'm sure some are better than others. I wondered if anyone here could suggest (or suggest against) any particular version.

:) I posted this in the History forum, but I'll post it here too.
I like the Bedford/St. Martin's edition because it has some introductory information and explanation to help the reader better understand what's going on in the autobiography. It's not the typical autobiography--it's cut up into sections that were written at different times--and I thought the explanation in the introduction helped me to understand the format better.
That said, you can probably find similar information on the internet if you just get a simple, cheap version with just the autobiography inside.
