ON the ID channel if no one has watched it Disappeared , Stolen Voices Buried Secrets they are really great. and James Ellroy;s LA City Of Demons.I loved James Ellroy's writing he really likes to do the old Hollywood murders if you have never read his books his Mother was actually murdered. Just letting people know if they want to try And watch any of these. The Ellroy show doesn't start until Jan19th.

Thanks Heather!  LOVE the picture of Johnny ;)

I too enjoy the shows you mentioned and don't forget, "The Killer Next Door".  I have to say "Stolen Voices" creeps me out a bit with the voiceovers but other then that it's a really good show.  ID has alot of good shows, perfect for the true crime buffs.  There are probably more of us then we know since there is quite a few true crime shows floating around.  I read the book about "Ali" the first episode of "Stolen" but I can't believe how any murderers there are out there.  Not just serial killers anymore, it's like everyone has gone crazy.

I agree it seems like people just seriously disapper . I live in KS but in Springfeild MO. Im gonna say maybe 7years ago A  mom and 2 teenage girls who graduated high school they went home to change to go to an after party and they just vanished that was the first time I felt creeped out that 3 women could disappear in an hour never to be seen again. It is still unsolved I been into true crime since I was a teenager I read Helter Skelter and I never quit. . Worse yet there was a book store where i bought true crime books and serial killer cards ok her is where it goes weird If u heard on the news about the The West Mesa Murders the supect that they got in Joplin Mo. owned the book store before he sold it and started a photo studio. So I might have bought serial killers cards from a serial killer they havent cleared him as a person of interest.

I think "Helter Skelter" was the one that started it for most true crime readers.   I have tried to get friends to read TC but many won't even try.

Now that's interesting - if you bought serial killer cards from an actual serial killer - lol

Well, most of the readers I know are  female, period.  DH reads only when traveling and although we read alot of the same things he doesn't get into discussing it.  Reading is just something to kill time to him.

My interest in TC books and TC tv shows creep my husband out.  He thinks it's weird and thinks I'm trying to get tips on how to bump him off without getting caught.  LOL

I've noticed that too. Although I have read in some TC books that the killer had an extensive TC book collection.

I think a lot of guys probably read True Crime but more women come to chat rooms and book sites. Most of my book requests from any genre come from women.
