What a delightful deceptive little book. It's a great read in that it's very interesting and entertaining and yet it's deceptive in that Karen Karbo packs a lot of great information about Coco Chanel within those 225 pages. I got a real sense of the legend and her life as well as a desire to learn more about her. Entertaining, informative, and enjoyable. I highly recommend this book to both fashion lovers and history buffs.

A "flip through read" this book is witty and fun, moving and historically insightful. What made Coco endearing is her rags to riches life and how extremely flawed she was. She compulsively lied about her past, and then lied about having lied, and then disavowed the lie about the lie and she did it all with style and grace.
