Linda C. (Seagull) reviewed Gracious Living in a New World: Finding Joy in Changing Times on
Chapter Five is Gracious Solitude.
In the section called Time For Solitude the author says: "Several summers ago I increased my time alone--I call it my 'Zen time'--to last from sunrise, when I naturally awake, until noon. I did this for three months, six days a week, and experienced one of the most heart-melting summers in memory."
Right now I'm living the experience of Chapter Eight, New Horizons, especially the section called Passport to a New Perspective. Stoddard writes: "Time spent in new surroundings, whether near or far, gives us a fresh perspective on life. Just as we step back a few feet in order to see a painting...more clearly, when we take a few steps onto distant soil our lives can become a little clearer, too."
