My husband recently purchased a copy of Watchmen.  We know very little about graphic novels, but in this one, the pages are rather wavy.  There's definitely no water damage.  I'd love to post it when he's done with it, as there are over 150 folks wanting it and it's not something either of us want to keep, but I don't want someone to be disappointed because the pages are wavy.  The paper is way different than your average paperback and there's obviously a lot more printing on each page, so I didn't know if that would contribute to the wavy factor.

Just curious if anyone who is a regular reader of bound graphic novels knows if the pages are generally a bit wavy or if we just got a bum copy.  Thanks!

I know that with newer books in general the paperbacks are tending to be made with lesser quality paper than ever before.  If you live in a humid environment or if the book's been in a humid environment (warehouse??) then that could definitely affect the pages in the way you describe.  what you might want to do is go to the sci/fi genre forum (I'm not sure if there is a separate graphic novel forum) and post your concern there.  You might get some others who have had your experience with this book.

There actually IS a graphic novel section -- I'm going to go post my question there!  Thanks for the idea!
