UGH! This is utter trash purporting to be literature. Even a book explaining the symbolism behind this novel (?) didn't help. I forced myself to read it until I got to the vignette about the general with the extraordinarily bizarre taste in prostitutes (What is the symbolism here?). If you want pornography, read de Sade; at least he is understandable. To borrow from Nancy GraceâIT'S TRASH !!! However, throwing this book out with the garbage will only pollute the landfill.
