Linda C. (Seagull) reviewed The Greatest Player Who Never Lived : A Golf Story on
While I'm not a golfer, I worked for attorneys for years and appreciated the law student's summer intern project. My biggest surprise was the line about one of the great New Orleans musicians. The law student attends Tulane and when his girlfriend questions his immersion in the project he replies, "It needs to be done. Like Dr. John says, 'If I don't do it, you know somebody else will."
I loved this story, though CDs #2 and #3 dragged for me because of my lack of interest in play-by-play golf games. At the satisfying end of the story, you wonder - is this true, or isn't it? Good story line, murder mystery, and courtroom drama included.
