I laughed all the way through this book. It reminded me of a funnier, happier, more lighthearted Elmore Leonard story.

America's most outrageous singer-songwriter turns gumshoe detective in this wild, witty and wisecracking debut novel. It's a hard-boiled journey into the dark heart of the city--as hilarious and entertaining as Kinky himself.

The place is New York City's Greenwich Village. The corpse is found holding eleven pink roses. The suspects are as strange as the crime. And the detective just happens to be a country singer named Kinky Friedman.
