I'm just finishing this up and the LAST PAGE IS TORN OUT!  How aggravating is that! Could someone summarize for me, or type it in if it's not too long?

Should I even give it to the library now, or just toss it out?

Here goes Willa. Starting from the next to the last page.

"Let me be very clear on this," she said. "Exactly what is at home?"

"The hammock. I had one delivered today."

"I see." She did, and her imagination was already getting her excited. One look at Ben told her that he was feeling the same way. "But why bother with a hammock when we have a nice big bed?"

He grabbed her and kissed her again, and this time there was nothing quick about it. " We'll start out in the hammock," he said. "Who knows where we'll end up?"

She laughed, throwing her head back with sheer delight. With Ben, everything was an adventure.

That's it, Willa. Kind of a short page. Hope this helps.

Thanks Pam! I knew it wasn't going to be anything important, but that unfinished feeling was so aggravating!

That's so frustrating...I've had similar things like that happen to me, but in the middle of the book! I'm glad Pam was able to help you out!

major bummer.  glad someone could give you that last bit.

Should I even give it to the library now, or just toss it out?

why pass along the aggravation?  just recycle it.

Hey!  I had that exact same thing happen to me on that exact same book!  Maybe it was a publishing error-a defect in the machine or something.  It drove me nuts too.

PS: DEFINITELY throw it out in my opinion.

This one was clearly torn out - I suspect there was some kind of special offer on the back of the page.

It's been tossed. I thought of printing out the ending and taping it in, but I was just too tired to deal.

Hi Willa - I said I'd be hitting the sack but here I am, nosy to see what the Forums are all about.

I just had to comment on HEART OF FIRE - one of my all-time favorite jungle books. And Ben Lewis.....omigod.....he is just so masculine and untameable that I can't ever imagine him reined-in and domesticated. Whew, now I'll *never* get to sleep tonight.   Gail

Welcome Gail! I confess, I'm not at all fond of jungle books, but I figured Linda Howard is just about always good. I actually thought of giving up on it as one point, but then it got interesting and spicy.;-)  She sure can write a love scene.
