I just receiced an ARC from another member. Someone who has been a member since 2006. Someone who should know the rules. Grrrrr. Just Grrrrr. The book is clearly marked as an ARC on the front cover. No way it could have been missed. Plus, I requested a HC and received a PB. Grrrr.  Rant over.

I can feel your pain. Sorry!!!!  A rant, rave or fit just helps sometimes, I hope it did for you.

One time I purchased a textbook from someone on Amazon and she sent me a promotional copy that has a whole page devoted to telling the owner that this book is not for resale.

I e-mailed the seller who not only played dumb about illegally selling me a promotional text, but proceeded to chew me out!

Hey, Jason...understand your pain! ;)  Not fun when people don't play by the rules.  My guess is (on the HB vs PB) that the ISBN for that particular ARC is for the HB version, thus the person posted it with that ISBN and so it came up has HB.  (Granted, she/he shouldn't have posted it, but that's my guess.)

If it's any consolation to you, just know you can list the ARC in the ARC thread of the Book Bazaar when you're done.  It's one of the red sticky's at the top....I know it's not much, but it might help you feel better to know you might be able to get a credit for it later or at least an additional order. ;)  PM me if you have questions.
