This book started out kind of slow for me, but I stuck with it and ended up not being able to put it down half way through. It is a good long book that surprised me in the end. I enjoyed the story line, it was very different than any other Nicholas Sparks books that I have read. It is also a good book for dog lovers.

I love Nicholas Sparks! The Guardian was actually my least favorite of his books, but I still loved it. It made me want to go out and get a Great Dane after reading it. Hahaha.

Nicholas Sparks' books are timeless. I love each and every one. However, I would have to say this one is one of my favorites. This novel is about a widow, who receives a Great Dane puppy from her late husband to watch over her. It is an incredible small town story that will leave you in tears at the end. If you only buy one Nicholas Sparks novel, buy this one!

The Guardian is Nicholas Spark's best book, at least by my thinking. It held my attention and offered a pleasant lure to return when other things had demanded my time. Since the main character did not believe in supernatural "luck" (nor do I) I could go along with him as events unfolded with the same incredulity he experienced.

Such an amazing novel. This is my favorite Nicholas Sparks book to date. Would have made an awful movie, but as for a book it was wonderful! Very suspenseful which will come as a welcome surprise for fans.

I am a fan of Nicholas Sparks but, I have gotten kind of tired since his books are all pretty similar. The Guardian, however, is a departure from his normal genre. Quite a bit more suspense.

This book was a page-turner, although the plot has been used by many other authors.

I find that I enjoy Nicholas Sparks later books better than this since his newer books seem to have more emotion in them and more time is spent developing the characters than was put into this book.

The book is still a good read due to the mystery aspect of it--I just wasn't overly sympathetic to the characters.

This was a great book, but I also enjoy reading Nicholas Sparks books. Problem on page 335, bad proof reading!!! They used the wrong name for a charactor.

Wasn't one of his usual type books. More of a mystery than a romance, but still a romance.
