As I was looking at Misfit's great blog, one I hadn't seen before, I decided that we need a place to keep a list of the blogs done by everyone here.

So, if you have a blog you want to share, post about it here and I'll add it to the master list that I'm going to create in this first post. Then, we'll always have a nice organized lists of our blogs.

I'll add Misfit's first since it started this! (Just let me know if you would rather your blog not be added to the list!)

felicia, I love your blog title. I am sooo not creative.

the link to my blog is in my footer/tag line. I started it last month to prepare for the challenges i am in this year. Its my first attempt at a blog, so pretty rudimentary.

We should add Sarah J.'s (tortiesbooks), which is Reading the Past.

I'd like to make a list of blogs and helpful H/F sites that we all like and use, but I'm a little afraid I might be breaking the rules. Again. Who, me?!

I just think it would be great and really helpful for H/F newbies to have lists of websites like HNS, HistoricalNovels.info, and blogs. We aren't supposed to advertise though, so I'm probably breaking the rules and leading you all down the twisted path of lawbreaking. Again.

If we can have this thread, I'll change the title to something like "Historical Fiction on the Web" or something like that after we have the links we want all gathered together. I'll add the blogs posted so far to the list as soon as I find out if we are allowed this thread. I think we probably will be because we are not promoting sites that compete with PBS, but I would like to check and make sure I don't get us all in big trouble. Again. :-D

I'm going to see about this and get back to you.

Genie, do you still have your blog?

Rules are meant for breaking.

Just ask my daughter!

Valli, the blog's still up, but I don't update it. It has several reviews readers may find useful and lists of links (like resources for finding books). But I just don't have time for it. It's Fuzzy History, if anyone's interested. But I've taken it out of my sig file because I don't update it.

Daphne's blog is excellent and she's always up on new releases, http://shelfandstuff.blogspot.com/

Amy's always up on the new stuff as well, http://www.passagestothepast.com

There's also A Girl Walks Into a Bookstore, http://agirlwalksintoabookstore.blogspot.com/

Elizabeth Chadwick's blog is lots of fun and she talks about all things medieval, http://livingthehistoryelizabethchadwick.blogspot.com/

And last but not least Michele who always makes me laugh, http://readersrespite.blogspot.com/

Thanks for mentioning my blog, Genie!  Another blogger, Nan Hawthorne, put together a meta-blog linking to a number of other HF blogs.  I check it a lot because the most recent posts display.  It's at Historical Blogs:  http://historicalnovelblogs.blogspot.com/

This is such a great idea, Valli. When you talk to TPTB, make sure you distinguish between the two types of blogs ... one being our own PBS member blogs and the other being more of a 'commercial' type. Surely to mercy, they will allow us to share the writings & musings of our own group, even if they frown on the other sites.

I have one too, but it's not all HF. It's Shhh I'm Reading. My reader is overflowing, but I see some new ones here to add!

I always check your blogs, It was either Daphne's or Susan Higgenbotham's or Lynn Stewart's blog that lead me here, I can't remember for certain but I believe it was Daphne's. So these blogs are helping spread the word about PBS.

I completely forgot about doing this! I'll go ahead and get all of the blogs together and make a post with the list soon.

Actually, I think I might just add them all to my first post in this thread and change the subject line to something like "H/F Group Blogs". It needs a better title, but I can't think of one right now.

I'll work on this tonight.

I'm doing this with trepidation since it's a HF forum, but the L&R forum is not kind to the old bodice rippers so I'm not even gonna bother.

Jeanine and I have started an informal reading blog about bodice rippers and it was a topic here awhile so, I figure "What the heck." No author schmoozing or book giveaways. Just reviews and splashy pictures.

Karla!! Great blog & I especially love your tagline ...

Dedicated to those maligned romances of the 70s and 80s that are now decomposing in your mom's garage.

Ha! Great stuff!

I've added the blogs to my first post. I think I got them all, but please let me know if I left out anyone!

Misfit - In the list of blogs you posted, where you have Chadwick's blog mentioned, which of those in the list are ran by PBS members? Just let me know and I'll add them to the list.

Do you all want me to add blogs owned by non-PBS members to the post too? So that they are all in one place? Or, should we just use this thread to mention interesting blogs whenever we want?

Oh, my gosh! How do you all have time to do blogs, read them, etc.? I only have time to read and my TBR still overflows, check PBS and Goodreads, look at my email, and do all the other things I love to do - fish, garden, hunt, spend time with friends, grandchildren, daughters, do ROAKs, go to auctions and sales, travel a little and keep up a home and yard!
