The 8th book in her series. This story is intense and keeps you at the edge of your seat. Once again a very good book from Sue.

Kinsey is in top form working undercover for the PD after a coworker at the insurance company is brutally murdered. Is the insurance fraud case she's pursuing connected? Kinsey as "Hannah Moore" becomes part of a "gang" working swoop and smash car accident setups that includes even doctors and lawyers. And how is Jimmy Tate, an old childhood friend, involved?
This story gives an inside look at an LA crime gang with a main character suffering from Tourette's Syndrome which was an interesting twist. I enjoyed reading this after being away from the series for several years. Will have to read the end of the alphabet now!

Eighth in the series, okay to start here. Nice step back in time to the 80s! This one zipped right along for me, although in truth it's mostly Kinsey waiting her chance to make a break for it. I read some other reviews of this complaining that the undercover thing was out of character for Kinsey, but I remember the last 7 pretty well and I disagree. Kinsey doesn't take huge risks with her life, but she's always up for a little B&E, couple fibs here and there, and just generally doing what she needs to do in order to get the dirt. An impulsive decision at a crucial moment and there she is, stuck with the murderers. Loved the twist at the end.
