Has anyone read the Inspector Ghote series by H.R.F. Keating?  If so, do you recommend them?  Is there a particular book to start with?  I picked up Inspector Ghote Caught in the Meshes and thought it looked interesting.  I see there are many of the Inspector Ghote novels out there and thought the setting in India might be fun/different.  Thanks for your help!

It's been several years since I have read any of them, but I did read almost all of them (from the library). I enjoyed them, Inspector Ghote reminds a bit of an Indian Columbo, lol, but the setting is interesting and I found them worth reading.

Thanks, Jodi - I always did like Columbo!  I'll give this one a try.

I'm glad you brought him up, I looked up the list, your book is 3rd in the series, and I see that there are a couple fairly recent ones that I wasn't aware of.
