I am looking for a true crime book that I read a few years ago. It was a great book and I want to read it again, but I can't remember the title or author. It was about a man who comes home and finds his wife murdered...the author used the phrase 'necklace of stab wounds.' After he finds his wife in the bedroom, he starts looking for his little boy, and finds him under the bed, also killed. There was a large ham set out in the kitchen sink to thaw. The book had photos, the woman was young and pretty. Brunette, I think. The book did not go into the backgrounds of the victims, in the style of Ann Rule, for example. In fact, I don't think there was any background info at all...the story just started with the murders and went on from there. Argh - going nuts trying to remember! Any ideas?
Thank you!
