J. D. Tyler

Lee Roland

Pamela Palmer

Terri Garey

ETA: Alexis Morgan and Darynda Jones. (Especially Jones. I didn't think I would like them when I started, but they are awesome)

Check out Anne Bishop.  Her newest series is "The Others" - "Written in Red" and "Murder of Crows" are the first two with at least three more to come.  Billed as Urban Fantasy but with a new take on vamps and weres.

Her first series, 'The Black Jewels Trilogy" was excellent too although not in the standard fantasy genre.

Wow.  Just read the first the Others book.  Written in Red.  Really like this series so far.  Very solid.  Been awhile since a book kept me up past 4 am.
