Cheryl -who is the little angel with the long blonde hair on your avi? How cute! Found a freebie for Kindle this morning and it sounds pretty good - great reviews! Cartier's Ring by Pearson Moore:

A couple of freebies picked up this morning. The first is a medieval time slip thingy. The second is WWI and Canadian setting (I think).

Jeanne: That's our granddaughter Lily now aged 3. (I think I featured her at about age 1 earlier) She has discovered the Disney princess movies and as you can see she is very taken with "Tangled" (Rapunzel). Her mommy ordered a gown for her just like the princesses wear at the Disney theme parks for her birthday. This was taken at Halloween, but Lily wears her "princess 'Punzel" gown almost every day! |

"Punzel" how completely adorable, |

|

Oh, she really is a princess! How cute and pretty!!! |

Kindle Daily Deal: His Last Duchess Seduced by the hot sun and blinding passions of Renaissance Italy, sixteen-year-old Lucrezia de' Medici sees a gilded life stretching ahead. Her wealthy new husband handpicked her to be his bride, and his great castle in Ferrara will be her playground. But Alfonso d'Este, Duke of Ferrara, quickly proves to be just as dangerous and mysterious as he is dark and handsome, and the stone walls of the castle seem to trap Lucrezia like a prison.

A few new freebies this morning. Lol, look at the product description for Town Social and see who is quoted. The Brown book is Victorian (I think it might be a mystery). The Rog book is set in Rome and I think it's on the inspirational side of the historical genre.

@ DW I got it. Read it (it's a short story so it's over quickly). Talk about alternative history...

Henry the VII and the Zombie Army spoiler alert: I wish Henry would've gotten offed / bitten, but alas, the ending smacked of sequel. Last Edited on: 1/16/12 4:53 PM ET - Total times edited: 1 |

Not historical, but might be of interest to our feline friendly members. Free on Kindle and I think Jerelyn got it on Nook,
