Hello Ladies....I know there are a few Harlequin fans on the boards (I've played in the HP Swaps!), so I'm hoping somebody might remember these books, which I'm pretty sure are Harlequins or Silouette, but could have been from the LoveSwept line.  Here's what I remember:

I am looking for 2 older books...probably read them in the 80's or early 90's back when most of my books came from the library's used section and/or garage sales. I don't remember much, but here it goes:

Book 1: The heroine had (7) silver bangle bracelets (maybe with flowers or something etched on them), and after spending the night with the Hero, she left or disappeared. Somehow she left one bracelet behind and he wore it until he found her again. I even think he had it cut open and welded on (because it probably wouldn't have fit over his hand.

Book 2: The heroine was poor (as they usually are!) but would save money in envelopes/jars marked with what she needed/wanted to buy (Rent, Food, etc.). One was for gold chanins. I think the Hero discovered these and bought her a bunch of gold chains, including a really long one which he told her was for her waist (well, given that heroines are always super tiny, it probably wasn't really that long!). I remember thinking at the time, how I had never seen anybody wear a waist necklace before.  LOL

Any ideas would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

I'll post the question on the harlequinpresentsfans list. Some of the ladies on the list are sharp - I'll see what I can come up with.

I'm sorry--I don't read many Presents.  Willa does read those sometimes; not sure if she'd recognize either of these :)  Hope you find an answer!

No ideas yet for book #1, but I did order Susanna's suggested "Deception for Desire" by Alice Morgan to see if it's the book I was thinking of for #2.  Nothing in the description rings a bell for me  - but I'll let you know as soon as it arrives and I get a chance to read it.

Thanks so much for everybody's help!
