Will Schmid has gained the reputation as an outstanding guitar teacher and performer throughout the United States. He received his BA from Luther College and his PhD from the Eastman School of Music (and A LOT more credentials that I am not going to list). The contents tell you a lot. This is a very good book. I have gone through a lot of it, but then inherited a whole series of Alfred Guitar Basics. This book even includes a vinyl record to help with tuning bound inside the front cover!!! You don't need it, but it's there in case you happen to have a turntable around.« less
