This fall I was to read some really good halloween/magic books. I'm looking for cozies and books like practical magic or chocolat. Any suggestions?

Secondhand Spirits by Juliet Blackwell was good.  It's the first in Witchcraft Mystery Series.

The Physick Book of Deliverance Dane by Katherine Howe was good, too.

 

ETA:  The "Three Sisters Island Trilogy" by Nora Roberts was also good.  That's an older series.

I haven't read Practical Magic (need to!) but I think you may enjoy Sarah Addisen Allen's Garden Spells and The Sugar Queen. Magical, but not in a witchy way.
