While I enjoyed There Hangs the Knife, I didn't feel it was not the same level of "grab you and keep you interested" that I got from Marcia Muller's other character Sharon McCone. The McCone series always keeps me on the edge of the seat, but Joanna Stark does not. It was good, and I have now completed all of Marcia Muller's books. I enjoy her style of writing, and her characters, and she is one of my favorite authors. The book is worth reading, and has a good plot.
