Has anyone else read any of these books by Joanna Fluke?     I finished my first one (and posted it to my bookshelf):

Key Lime Pie Murder.............each book is titled after a yummy dessert.  The heroine owns a bakery;  recipes for different desserts are included throughout the book at the end of some chapters........and the desserts are worked into the story.............It was a very yummy book.  Downfall I don't think her books will help motivate dieters..........:0)

I love these.  I've read the Chocolate Chip Cookie Murder,  The BlueberryMuffin Murder, The Strawberry Shortcake Murder

and I've jumped ahead to the Creme Puff Murder.  I have most of the rest on my TBR. I haven't actually tried any of the

recipes yet though.

Should they be read in a certain order??  I only saved one recipe from the first one to try with the grandkids: deep fried candy bars!

They don't have to be read in order, but the characters (and their relationships) grow and develop throughout the series.  If possible, reading them in order would be preferable.  The order is...

Chocolate Chip Cookie Murder (2000)

Strawberry Shortcake Murder (2001)

Blueberry Muffin Murder (2002)

Lemon Meringue Pie Murder (2003)

Fudge Cupcake Murder (2004)

Sugar Cookie Murder (2004)

Peach Cobbler Murder (2005)

Cherry Cheesecake Murder (2006)

Key Lime Pie Murder (2007)

Carrot Cake Murder (2008)

Cream Puff Murder (2009)

Plum Pudding Murder (October 2009)

Yes, I would read them in order too. I have read all of them except Cream Puff Murder and the new one coming out in October. Cream Puff is on MT TBR.

I'd agree to read them in order because of the development of the characters.  Yes indeed filled with yummy stuff!

Ive read several of these books by Joanna Fluke, and loved them!

I found 2 of her newer books in the series, ( hardback edition) in excellent condition at a local Goodwill Store about 2 months ago.

I've read them all, and also loved them.  I agree that they should be read in order just to see how the characters develop.

I had them all on my shelf at one point but they soon went.

I have a couple and don't want to part with them because I love to cook and want to try many of the recipes.  I'll probably post them eventually, just for the sake of having room.

I really like these books, too! I would agree that reading them in order is best...I can't wait to see who is in the next book and how the relationships are changing.

I have read all of them but the two most recent which I have wish listed. I agree that it is best to read them in order, but not necessarily critical. I just wish that some of the "relationships" would develop a little more, seriously, make a decision woman. I guess though if I had guys fighting over me I might keep it going too.

Chocolate Chip Cookie Murder includes recipes for several yummy sounding cookies:

Chocolate Chip Crunch cookies, Regency Ginger Cookies, Pecan Chews, Black and Whites, Chocolate-Covered Cherry Delights, Old-Fashioned Sugar Cookies, and Lovely Lemon Bar Cookies.

I've actually made the Black and White cookies (among others) and they are delicious! I highly recommend them. What a great series of books.

I have all but Cream Puff and the one coming out in October. The books make be hungry, but I cannot try the recipes. I am diabetic, and if I

make it, I will eat it! So, it is better to avoid it in the first place!
