This book made me sick to my stomache. Not just because it was gory. Harris has taken his iconic characters and perverted them into cartoonish reflections of their former selves. It is long winded, gruesome, and generally horrible. I am a huge fan of Red Dragon and Silence of the Lambs and this was a sore disappointment.

I definitely did not enjoy this book as much as Red Dragon and Silence of the Lambs. It seemed like it was mostly just gruesome for gruesome sake.

This book was a little hard to get into in the beginning, however it turned out to be a good book. It was very gory, but I liked the ending. The ending was not what I expected. The action is fast and very gory, if you have a good imagination this book will keep you up at night.
