I know some members enjoy trying to ship packages to and receive packages from every state. Today I received a book from someone that lives in the city where I was born (San Diego, CA). 

Edited to clarify: I was wondering if anyone else has received books shiped from the city of thier own birthplace, not necessarilly mine!

I am from Imperial Beach and have gotten books from San Diego but the guy only lived about 5 miles from me!   BTW - hi from the southern end of the county!!

hasn't happened to me, closest I got to my homehown was about 15 miles away. Would be really cool if I did get one from my hometown though. Did you know you can look through the member list and see if anybody is from your hometown? ( No one is listed in mine).

Nope---nothing from Motown to me yet. 

I've mailed books to the town my mother live in but not where I was born. Very close though.

I mailed a book to someone who lived two blocks away from my house when I lived in St Louis.  I could have walked it over if I still lived there.

The closest I've gotten to Milwaukee was other members in Wisconsin.

Parsippany, NJ. I wasn't born there but did live there from the age of 6 to 17!

Yes I am originally from San Diego and have received a few books from San Diego-made me nostalgic when I looked at the wrapper.

I've shipped books to a couple of members here in Chicago, one was only about 5 miles away from me.  And I found out that my upstairs neighbor is a member, he saw a package addressed to me in the hallway and thought it was for him because he recognized the PBS label!

Oooh!  Cheryl, I work in Morristown like 5 minutes from Parsippany.  I still live where I was born, so it is not all that exciting.

I just checked the membership list and there is someone from my hometown....but we moved from there when I was 6 months old......and I don't remember it!
