Felicity is a spunky, spritely colonial girl, gull of energy and independence. Springtime means that Felicity's birthday is coming. She receives a precious gift from Grandfather - a guitar that belonged to her grandmother. Her parents and grandfather are angry when they learn that she disobeyed them by taking it out of the house to show her friends. They refuse to believe a message Felicity has overheard that means danger for the colonists. Felicity risks more of her parents' anger when she decides she must alert the colonists herself!
