Friday, the book I had so much difficulty getting from another member (in another thread, below), arrived in my mailbox from a different PBS poster.

So, I'm very pleased and eagerly devouring the book now.  I wanted to let everyone know who gave me advice and/or sympathy in the earler thread that I very much appreciated it (even the advice I did not take) and that we have happy ending.  It was an odd situation, and the community here was very helpful.

What a wonderful thing Paperback Swap is!  Problems on the site are inevitable, people being what they are, but overall I get such a wonderful feeling of satisfaction here.  Sure,  it is great to get book that I would be unlikely to find in local shops, but the special thing to me is wraping and sending the book to other PBS'ers knowing it is going to a home that wants it.  OK, I'm strange, but to me books are meant to be read and loved, and being able to share that with this community makes my days a bit brighter.

OK, back to the regularly scheduled questions ..... (grin)

Thanks for telling us the happy ending - I sometimes wonder the outcome.  So it's nice to get an update.

I'm glad it ended well.   Like you,  there is a large enjoyment factor for me when I sent a book out to someone who wants it.
