Great how-to book for young riders. Easy to read and understand.

This is a MUST have for any young person with their first horse or is a young rider. It presents basic horsemanship in a basic and friendly way and it is written from the horse's point of view! As the Mom of a young girl who rides, it was a great way for her to learn the basic rules rather than me preach to her (as I am a rider also). If you are a parent that does not know about horses, you will find this book most helpful as well.

It was Okay, definitely written to a younger audience and somewhat silly even then. Doesn't so much work for us with the horse "talking" telling the rider how they feel, etc.

If you have a child interested in horses, or you are getting your first horse - this is the book you need!! Simple, complete, and greatly illustrated. I have taught many new riders and horsepersons, and I used this book alot. I highly reccomend it.
