A completely new idea in crochet--great fun! More physically taxing than regular crochet. As you can see from the cover, you can crochet a variety of objects that were never thought of before in association with crochet--hats, baskets, and luggage! And they are more rigid than you can imagine. You are going to need to be brave enough to substitute yarns or do some searching to find the yarns the author recommends.

Actually, this is just new to us--it's an old craft in South America. See also Tapestry Crochet and More Tapestry Crochet by Carol Ventura for more detailed instructions of the Tapestry technique and for other project ideas. However, if you want a really rigid basket, stick with Mark Dittrick.
