  What time is it now
She asks again and I sigh
Later than before

Six and all is well
Six o one and all is well
Two after still good

Forty-three to go
Can my nerves stand her desire
Can we start early

Six thirty not yet
Hold her off a bit longer
Won't I please say yes

Six forty-five now go
She grabs the keys and flies out
Wheels spin and burn

What was I thinking
She is not responsible
Enough for this car

I only wish wish
The time for learning to drive
Was far in our past

As this was not really a Haiku, I thought I would edit it and make it one. :) :)

Oh, the pain of having a novice teenage driver in the house... I have one of those too!
