Anyone interested in swapping (using PBS Box of Books - if so, let me know and I'll get that feature) or have a list of Harlequin published books? I see a lot of them on there, but I'm not sure how to connect and do a big swap.

If you just want to swap your books for someone else's books, you need to get Box of Books.  Otherwise, you are stuck with ordering what you want and spending credits on them.  You can check out the Book Bazaar forum, always lots of deals going on over there if you're looking to make your credits go further.

Also keep an eye out in the games forum.  Every couple of months someone does a game using series romances. There was one recently where we shopped series romances from each others shelves and then of course stole them from eachother.   I just hosted a bodice ripper swap where we exchanged older romances with the embarresing book covers.

I can tell by your post count that you haven't played any games so you can't host one.  I think you have to play in at least 3 games before you can host.

The only series books I usually like are the Blazes. Once I get a few of mine read, I'll check out your shelf and see if we can do a BOB.  I have my BOB on hold for now.  I just don't have any read right now to offer up for trade and I have too many game books to read first.

Also it looks like you may have just signed up for Box of Books-if so then you will probably get inundated with BOB offers.  Everytime I restart BOB and get on that new boxer list I get bombarded with offers.

I was actually thinking that it would be nice if there was a virtual box just series romances.

Do you think that enough players would be interested in one?

You could try.  I only read the Blazes so I probably wouldn't join. I'm actually thinking of dropping out of the VBS that I'm in until I get this TBR under control.  It's topping 600 now and I have little stacks of books everywhere because they don't fit on the 3 bookshelves I have crammed to capacity.  DH is complaining.

You could put it up and see how many sign up.  A lot of people love them but they can be hard to get rid of because no one wants to pay a full credit for them.

Sorry to hijack the thread but can anyone explain what the different harlequin categories are? Historical and nocturne I pretty much get, but Blaze and Silouhette etc I have no idea what that means.

Silhouette is a publisher.  They publish several lines of what're called category romances.  Silhouette Special Editions, Silhouette Desires, Silhouette Romantic Suspense, Nocturne.  Each line concentrates on slightly different kinds of stories.  Special Editions are more family-oriented old fashioned romances.  Desires are short books, lots of zing and romance in them.  Romantic Suspense focuses on a mystery of some sort with the romance being secondary.  Nocturnes are paranormal romances.

Harlequin is also a publisher.  They do several lines like Harlequin Blaze, Harlequin Romance, Harlequin Presents, Harlequin Intrigue.  Blazes are pretty steamy romances.  The Harlequin Romance and Presents lines have been around for quite a while.  Shorter books concentrating on the old fashioned romance.  Intrigues are mysteries with a little romance thrown in there.

All the category romance books are pretty short, the longest is like 225 pages.  Some are as few as 150 pages.  Just depends on what kind of romances you like to read.
